OLIVE and LIONEL COLLINS SAY GOOD-BYE TO NFAFA.
After many years with NFAFA, Olly and Lionel have decided to start a new life in Ireland, where Olly was born, and still has many relatives. Having visited in January and survived the coldest winter there for 40 years, they decided that this was where they wanted to retire.
They have both been very active, hard-working supporters of NFAFA. Recently Olly has held all 4 officer posts, some of them at the same time!! She has been secretary, treasurer, vice-chairman; and after the sad resignation of Mary last year, chairman.
Having lived and worked in the New Forest for more years than they might care to admit, they knew the Forest and its ways intimately. They had a great store of local knowledge that will be sorely missed. The NFAFA committee is very grateful to them for all their dedication and hard work over the years.
We wish them all good luck and happiness for their retirement in their new home, and wonder how long it will be before Portlaoise has a new Access group?
